Hi Everyone,
We’ve been busy. The summer has been kind to us and we have managed to keep active and make good use of the weather and are currently preparing for autumn and what that brings. However, our recent showcase event has been the 25-year celebration of the opening of Castle Farm on 8th September.
We had a great turn-out of residents, family members, staff and volunteers and even had a visit from the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and the Lady Mayoress. We had a plethora of presentations including celebrating staff promotions and recognition of staff and volunteers for their contributions to the days’ celebrations, as well as excellent entertainment – not to mention the splendid buffet.
A big thank-you must go to Simon Renton, our gardener, for his hard work and vision in creating the new garden which is quite stunning, and certainly has our X-Factor!
We hope you enjoy the photographs of the day – we are creating a booklet of the day as a special memento – details soon. A great day, and a huge thanks for all the hard work from everyone involved in making it happen – you know who you are – we couldn’t have done it without you all.
Until next time.
