Grove Summer Garden Party

What a day – weather was kind to us, entertainment was great and Dance Envy were superb.

The afternoon began with Pimms which went down rather well followed by a splendid afternoon tea served by our many volunteers on hand to make the whole day go smoothly.

It was an opportunity to catch-up with old friends and share the day with family members. Entertainment was provided by Christine Rosamond with her backing guitarist followed by Dance Envy, a group of local schoolchildren who delivered a spectacular dance routine.

The garden was ‘spruced up’ by volunteers from Business in the Community who arrived the previous day to weed, paint and put up gazebos and bunting. Plants were kindly donated by B&Q to fill tubs and baskets and added even more colour to our beautiful garden. A huge thank you to everyone involved.

All in all, a rather splendid afternoon was had by all. Well done to everyone who made it all possible. We all had a blast. Thank you!

Cycling without age, a non-profitable and volunteer run organisation, visited our Grove home recently to show our residents their new trishaw. What a great idea to help our residents get out and about.

Congratulations

Castle Farm resident Mrs Margaret Style reached her landmark 100^th birthday on 31^st July. She was joined by family, friends and fellow residents for a celebration tea and entertainment.
